Privacy information

Updated 18 September 2026 · The Edit Timer and early-access waitlist

The Edit Timer is operated by The Jasper Picture Company. This page explains the information used by the app and website. Contact production@jasperpictures.com.au with questions or to request access, correction or deletion.

If you join the waitlist

We collect your email address, the name and company you choose to provide, your computer platform, editing software and optional version details, the size of your editing team, and a record of your consent. We use these details to send your waitlist confirmation, notify our team of your signup, and contact you about early access and product updates. We keep email job status and provider identifiers to retry temporary failures and avoid duplicate messages. You can leave the list by emailing us. Joining does not create a paid account or start a trial.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated submissions. Cloudflare processes technical information needed for that check under its privacy policy. The waitlist itself does not store your IP address.

Website analytics and cookies

If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics to understand visits to our public website, referral sources and successful waitlist submissions. Google receives public page addresses, browser and device information, approximate location and a cookie identifier. We remove query strings and fragments from page addresses and limit referrer information. We do not send your waitlist fields, email address, editing records, project names or sequence names to Google Analytics. Analytics does not load on account, dashboard or demo pages.

Analytics is optional and remains off until you choose it. You can change your choice using “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of public pages. Declining does not affect the website, signup form or app. We remember your choice for up to six months. We do not enable advertising personalisation or Google signals. Google may process analytics information outside Australia under its privacy policy. Reports exclude visitors who decline analytics or block it, so they may differ from database signup totals.

If you use the Mac app

The companion records confirmed editing intervals and the context needed to organise them:

  • Project names, file paths and identifiers.
  • Sequence names and identifiers.
  • Editor and device identifiers, timestamps and durations.
  • Connection status and app version information needed to operate and troubleshoot the service.

We do not upload footage, project file contents, screenshots, typed keys or mouse coordinates. Project names, paths and sequence names may contain client information, so your studio should consider what it includes in them.

Your company workspace

Time belongs to the company workspace your device is enrolled in. Workspace permissions govern who can view team records. Managers can review company editing time; ordinary editor reporting is limited to the editor’s own time. A read-only integration key allows access within the permissions assigned to that integration.

Where information is processed

The database is hosted with Supabase in Sydney. The website is hosted with Vercel, account and waitlist emails are delivered through Resend, and the waitlist security check uses Cloudflare. These services may process operational data outside Australia; the Sydney database location does not mean every part of the service runs only in Australia.

Email delivery is configured through Resend’s Tokyo region. The Mac companion keeps local records and can queue uploads while offline. The website uses optional Google Analytics as described above; we do not run advertising tags. Account sign-in uses cookies needed for authentication.

Keeping and removing information

We keep waitlist details while managing early access and product updates, or until you ask to be removed. Editing records remain available to your workspace until removed through an authorised request. If you request deletion, we will explain any records that need to be retained and how deletion affects backups and local device copies.

This information will be updated as the product develops.
